Laptop Issues

Just to let everyone know, my laptop has been acting up as of late. It's been in the shop already and I have only gotten back just 4 days ago. The same symptoms came back only last night. It's a miracle that it came on today and I'm grateful that it did as it allowed me to be able to post this up for all of you to see and be in the know of what's been going on as of late. This coming Tuesday, I'm taking my laptop to a different place to get a proper diagnosis on what the problem truly is. I don't think it's just virus worms that have penetrated my laptop's virus protection from me putting into hibernation mode like the last place told me. I think there may be a short in the system somewhere as the monitor is the only thing that refuses to work when it acts up. The hard drive comes on just fine and it'll run, boot up, do all of that without the use of a screen for me to see what's going on. On top of that, my laptop's DVD-Rom drive has been gone for around 3-4 months without a true explanation aside from it can't be detected and I cannot even access System Restore do to some weird shadow cat value error or whatnot. I'm fearful of shutting it down as it may not start back up again, or the monitor will refuse to come on, etc. Last time I was able to get it to come back before it went into the shop, it froze on start up and even shutting it off didn't really shut it off, it just put it into some kind of sleep mode. So, as of right now, I'm going to say that I will not be online or with a computer until going on Christmas or New Years depending on what I find out Tuesday. Until next time, whenever that might be.

Long Time No See

Jul. 4th, 2009 | 03:54 pm
mood: calm calm

It's been a while since I last posted anything up here and for that I'm sorry. I've been busy as of late, work is draining and I'm trying desperately to complete rereading the Harry Potter series. It'll be my second complete read through of the books. Aside from doing that I've been replaying Dark Cloud 2 with high hopes of finally completing the game and have been doing some work on a couple of cosplay costumes.

My Akatsuki costume is still in the works, not even close to being 50% complete. I've finally got a cloak thanks to an acquaintance on cosplay.com. The skirt of the outfit is complete, a recycled piece from an old Halloween costume & the same thing can be said over the gloves for the costume though they need to be restitched. The shirt has yet to be made and neither have the ninja sandals. I could buy a pair but they do not fit right what so ever and are bigger than my feet even when I add my own touches to them which make them an uncomfortable wear. I'll still look into purchasing a set of ninja sandals just in case I can find a pair that'll work better than using regular sandals. The sleeves to the shirt are pretty much complete, they just need some ribbon detail on the insides need to be relined with red silk. The sleeves are also recycled from last year's Halloween. I still need a decent black wig as well. I know where to get a professional cosplay wig at but I need to save up in order to make the purchase of it.

I've not been writing much on any of my stories though I have been planning even more to work on which probably isn't a good idea. Some of my earlier stories are going to be dropped/placed on hiatus for quite some time. For my readers, I'm sorry that it's taking me so long to update my stories. A few of them have reached the point of major writer's block that I cannot seem to over come. It's rather troublesome when I've hit points in a story/stories where I know what I want to happen but cannot for the life of me write it out the way I want it to happen -.-;;; I'll try my hardest to get some chapters out soon.

Regarding Feudal Hearts & Sequels

Apr. 7th, 2009 | 03:50 pm
mood: pessimistic pessimistic
music: God Help the Outcasts - Bette Midler

I've noticed a small trend with reviews for my fanfic Feudal Hearts as well as reviews for A Fiery Heart of Ice. I've given much thought over these reviews and decided that this was the best way to give out my answers concerning the sequels to both fanfic and a little something extra.

For starters I'm addressing those that have read/will read/etc. A Fiery Heart of
Ice. The Hiei/Kagome pairing concept is not one that I am fond of nor do I enjoy reading all that well. When I wrote AFHoI it was on a friend's dare way back when and I dished it all out during a two week period in my free study period of high school. There are a lot of discrepancies within the story and it's a rushed piece. I know that I've stated that there will be a sequel to this story but I cannot write one. If there is anyone out there that does wish to write a sequel to the story, feel free to do so.

Now, in regards to Feudal Hearts. There is a sequel in the making. In fact, the sequel was being worked on before the drabbley one-shots were created. There is even a sequel being planned for the sequel <.<;; Overzealous much, huh? Despite Feudal Hearts being marked as "Complete" other drabbly one-shots are going to be added to it as the sequel, Feudal Hearts: Miko of the Stars, progresses. The added one-shot drabbles are/have been created to help explain certain aspects that are going to be shown in FH:MotS. I hope that, that was clear enough for you to understand and grasp. Until next time. Ja!

My Addictions

Apr. 5th, 2009 | 03:11 pm
mood: ditzy ditzy
music: First Love - Utada Hikaru

I've come to realize that like all others out there that I have my own addictions...chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream, breezy afternoons...but that's not what this is about today. No, today is about other addictions that I have, that I crave for just as much as those that aren't these. These other addictions...they're quite simple to understand once you know what they are and yes, I'm quite aware that I'm putting off telling you these addictions are. Makes it a little fun and teasing for me ^.^

I'm addicted to reviews, to writing, to being praised for my works....to positive feedback. Is that strange? I would hope not. I mean, what kind of person would be addicted to negative feedback and flames? Certainly not me, that's for sure. I thrive on knowing that my works are appreciated and well-received. It gives me inspiration to continue despite my own procrastination in posting up the finished products. That might be why I've stopped giving out reviews to my favorite stories on ff.net now that I think about it. Why review when you've not updated your own works in going on 2 years now?

Ah, but I've been busy writing more of my simple addictions entitled simply as fanfictions. So much so that I've over 56 ongoing and completed works saved to my computer at the moment. Is that too much? Not in my mind it's not. Well, back to writing I go in hopes of completing something far in enough to finally get back into posting...and to feed my cat while she makes nice nice to my door staring at me in anticipation of a bowl full of yummy chicken and liver flavored food.

The Beginning

Mar. 30th, 2009 | 07:26 pm
mood: contemplative contemplative
music: Beauty and the Beast

Well, here is the beginning of my journal. This journal is in existence as somewhat of a character journal for a story of mine as well as a place for me to ramble at. The character journal aspect will be treated much more differently than when I'm rambled and will be entitled and tagged as being such, basically as a drabbling fanfiction that ties into one of my stories which has yet to be posted. A link to the actual story will be posted up a tad bit later when the story is, you know, actually posted.

Well, here's the start of what I hope to a great experience for me and hopefully a fun place for you my readers and friends to actually talk and such through comments and the like.
